It was a great day out at the LARA FUN RUN today. D Jay Geb
won the 10.2km trail race in 30.43, amazing Running on
gravel! That is 3.00 pace on a course with plenty of stones
and some undulations with lots of Emus and Kangaroos
spectating. It was a course record by around 4 minutes.
Kerrie Gibson was in fine form to reach the podium in the
5km, coming 3rd in 40-49 in 24.42. &Sean Williams
MelbournePack won the 50-59 in the 10.2km in 38.43 and is
wondering how he will make up 8 minutes to beat DJ.
At Carcoar in country NSW Harry Summers blitzed a classy
field in the Carcoar Cup half marathon to run 64.20 on an
extremely hilly course. There is over 600m elevation change
on this course which can only be described as brutal. Harry
beat home a quality field, with Irish International Kevin
Batt coming second over 4 minutes behind Harry and national
class runner Joshua Torley 3rd.
What a lovely lunch it was in Bangholme today with over 30
Melbourne Packers and friends attending. Thanks for
organising Lynda Dickson.
