The ‘16 Sydney marathon was my 2nd marathon (in ‘14 I ran Sydney). I enjoyed every second of it, keeping a steady pace throughout and crossing the finish line in 3:29:18, 25 min faster than ‘14. My body felt great, nutrition and hydration went according to plan, and weather was ideal.
Of course the preparation (and dealing with the unexpected) makes a race. 10 weeks into the program I was struck by a few injuries; Sean adjusted the program such that I could heal without losing fitness. During the 16 weeks of training Sean was responsive at all times. Melbourne in 2 weeks.
